BHAGWATHAS PRAHLADHJI NAVDHA BHAKTHI (SMARANAM)

smaranam                             SMARANAM

Smaranam  means the constant remembrance of God.

A devotee enjoys remembering Him and  His leelas.  But this is the third step. The first being shravanm and keerthanm.(already discussed).

Once we hear lot about Krishna we tend to sing about him ,in fact enjoy singing alone and in group .Once when we are engaged in singing we start remembering him.

Remembering and remembering and remembering and meditating on the glories of Lord or what have been read or heard, when one is alone takes him near to lord and Our Krishna  becomes “Bhaktha  Paradeena.”

It is said  once Naradhji happened to see the secret list of Bhakthas who constantly remember Lord  Rama .  He was curious and saw the full list . He noticed that Hanumanji name was missing. He met Anchneya (Hanumanji )and said that he is being ignored. Hanumanji said he is not bothered and continued remembering Jai shri Ram.

But Our Naradhji could not resist his curiosity ,He asked The Lord .Lord showed  the other list which was with him. always.  This list was   the list Whom he always remembers. In that Hanumanji’s name was the first name.

In Srimadh Bhagwatham  1/15/18

Arjuna says

“smarthur lutanthi hridhayam ma madhavsya ”

My  heart and soul is over whelmed when i remember my Madhav.

This  is result of Paripoorna Bhakthi.

VERSE 8: UNCEASING MEDITATION ON LORD KRISHNA from Mukunda Mala by Kulashekara Alwar.

CHINTAYAMI HARIMEVA SANTATAM

MANDA MANDA HASITA AANANAAMBHUJAM  I

NANDAGOPA TANAYAM  PARAATPARAM

NAARADHAATI  MUNI BRINDHA VANDITHAM  II

I always think of Lord Hari, whose joyful lotus face bears a gentle smile. Although He is the son of the cowherd Nanda, He is also the supreme Absolute Truth worshiped by great sages like Narada.

SMARANAM 2_n

This is the wish we should always have.
Narayana Bhattadri in Narayneeam requests the Lord

नित्यं चित्तस्थितं मे पवनपुरपते कृष्ण कारुण्यसिन्धो
हृत्वा निश्शेषतापान् प्रदिशतु परमानन्दसन्दोहलक्ष्मीम् ॥१०॥

O Lord of Guruvaayur! May those feet always rest in my heart. O Ocean of Compassion! destroy all my sorrows and confer a full abundant flow of Supreme Bliss.
